AHHH the holidays...

Well the holidays are fast approaching and the kids are already on overdrive from the excitement of christmas. Let me back up a few weeks here and talk about Halloween. OMG they were sooo funny. Hunter was a red Power Ranger (even though he kept telling everyone that he was a transformer) and Alivia was Super Girl (fitting for her, since she a little rough around the edges)!! Hunter's best little friend Patrick came with us this year which was kind of a big deal because typically this is a family only event. Hunter just loves patrick and he is SUCH a sweet kid. We left our house and took off walking, this was the first year we didn't have to drive anywhere and it was awesome! The kids had a blast, one lady tried giving hunter pretzels and you should have seen his face!! OMG it was hilarious!! He looked at here and shook his head no and said "i like candy". I thought i was going to DIE of embarrassment!! She said i'm sorry honey i only have pretzels and he goes " No thank you i don't like them" and walked away. At least he was polite about it but good god you should have seen his face, you would have thought she tried handing him an atom bomb! This was like the 3rd house we went to so i kept thinking OH Geese i hope no one tries handing him a toothbrush!!
When i started this blog it wasn't thanksgiving YET But since i'm really bad at finishing things Thanksgiving has come and gone (fortunately for us, uneventfully!!) and christmas season is in FULL swing!! The kids are totally psyched about Santa coming, they each have their own small christmas trees that they go to decorate. They even got to go to Hobby Lobby and pick out their VERY own ornaments for their trees so they thought that was really cool. Alivia's is OBVIOUSLY all in pink ,with a pink fur tree skirt and pink garland that looks alot like a feather boa!! It's really cute. She picked out ballarina ornaments and also little presents ornaments that i didn't realize she thought were REAL presents of her very own!! I tried explaining to her when we started decorating that NO they were not real presents they were only pretend ones and she WAS NOT having it. She told me they were her "yittle presents" and that she got to open them because they were for HER tree. After arguing with a 3 year old and getting nowhere with that she informed me that she was going to open it and as she is doing so she said she was "showing me they were her yittle presents" probably so she wouldn't get in trouble and then when she realized that they were just tiny pieces of styrofoam in that shiny foil she threw her hands up and said " WELP mommy your right they just tend presents" Well yeah no shit is what i wanted to say!! But she cleaned up her mess and went about her business. She is sooo haphazard with her stuff and Hunter is the exact opposite he put his ornaments on his tree very meticulously and all of his ornaments had it's own place. He picked out a camo tree skirt and dinasour and santa ornaments for his tree. His tree sits in his room lit and pretty but never touched only looked at!! Alivia on the other hand got in trouble and got her tree removed from her bedroom for a day because we woke up the morning after she put her tree up and it looked like a tornado went through her tree!!! ALL of her yittle presents were opened (yes this is the morning AFTER the long conversation about the presents) and there was styrofoam and foil and ribbon and tinsle EVERYWHERE. Apparently she accepted the fact that i was right about that ONE present but refused to believe that the other 20 little presents on her tree were not REALLY her own gifts that she could open and have fun with. So that is what i walked into that morning when i got her up for school!! She's a wreck let me tell you, she is the dirtiest (is that even a word) little girl i have ever seen in MY LIFE!! It's so funny because she is soo much more like me when it comes to that and hunter is Anal Andy just like mike!! They are ready for christmas and Hunter wants EVERY SINGLE thing he sees an advertisement for, it cracks me up, it will be 10:00 at night and he will come RUNNING into our bedroom and say " mommy i want that motorcycle i seed on TV that is real big and i tan drive it on the road!!!) He's a nut!! I'm excited about christmas too, the kids are at a really really fun age now, so it's a blast!! We've decorated our new place in lights and garland and we have the most homely sickly little charlie brown christmas tree i've ever seen. Needless to say it is hitting the trash can the day AFTER christmas!! It's a sad pathetic little tree, i don't guess i realized how small a 6ft tree really is!! Mike refuses to let me get a bigger one and promised that i can get the biggest one i can find after christmas this year!! We'll see about that :) :) The kids christmas shopping is almost done but i still have a list of things i want to do before christmas. I HAVE TO HAVE TO HAVE TO go get family pictures taken!! We have not had one done since alivia was a black haired butterball, how sad is that!! I also want to have all the cousins over for a cookie decorating day and maybe take them to a movie (the kids LOVE to have sleepovers with their cousins). Honestly i think that is the kids FAVORITE thing in the world to do (well going to memaws and papaws house is right on top now too) and i am always really bad about having all the kids over because there are 5 of the older ones and 2 of the younger ones and it's just mass caos, I really should do it more then i do but i don't!! Especially cause the kids have sooo much fun!! I also would like to bake cookies and breads for people at work and make a couple of blankets for a couple of my good friends that just had babies ohhh geese the list is ENDLESS!!! Happy holidays, huh!!!
